Is the duty in force yet?
No. It is expected in January 2027, with the detail set by regulations. You can issue the statement voluntarily now.
Does it apply if we do not recognise a union?
Yes. The duty is expected to apply to all employers regardless of size or union recognition.
Do existing staff need it too?
Yes, existing workers are expected to receive it as well as new starters. Part 5 is a log for recording who has received it.
Will the template change?
It may need updating once the regulations are published. Check the final requirements before relying on it.
