1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing docpilot.to, purchasing any document, or subscribing to DocPilot Pro, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our website or purchase our products.

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be available at docpilot.to/terms.html. Continued use of our service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

2. Licence to use our templates

When you purchase a DocPilot document template, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use that document for your own personal, business, or professional purposes.

Under this licence, you may:

A single purchase covers one individual or one business entity. If you are a letting agency, HR department, or law firm wishing to use DocPilot templates across multiple clients, please contact us at hello@docpilot.to to discuss a professional licence.

4. Purchases and pricing

All purchases are made through Lemon Squeezy, our third-party payment processor. Lemon Squeezy acts as the Merchant of Record for all transactions and is responsible for payment processing, VAT collection, and issuing receipts.

All prices displayed on docpilot.to are in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) and are inclusive of any applicable VAT. DocPilot reserves the right to change prices at any time without notice. The price you are quoted at checkout is the price you will pay.

Upon successful payment you will receive a download link for your document(s) by email. Downloads are typically available immediately. If you do not receive your download link within 15 minutes, please check your spam folder, then contact us at hello@docpilot.to.

5. Refund policy

Because our products are digital downloads that are made available immediately upon purchase, we are generally unable to offer refunds once a document has been downloaded. This is consistent with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, which provide that the right to cancel does not apply to digital content once download has begun with the consumer's prior consent.

However, we will always act fairly. We will issue a full refund in the following circumstances:

To request a refund, please email hello@docpilot.to within 14 days of your purchase, including your order number. We aim to process all refund requests within 5 working days.

6. Intellectual property

All DocPilot document templates, website content, logos, design elements, and branding are the intellectual property of DocPilot (David Osborne) and are protected by copyright and other applicable laws.

The Thornwick Academy for the Enchanted Arts (used in Document 79) is an entirely original creation. All house names (Stormhaven, Sunveil, Ironbark, Moonsong), lore, and branding are original to DocPilot. This is not affiliated with or derived from any existing fictional work.

Nothing in these terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you beyond the limited licence described in Section 2.

7. Accuracy and updates

DocPilot takes care to ensure that all templates reflect current UK law at the time of publication. All 81 templates were reviewed and updated in May 2026, incorporating changes under the Renters' Rights Act 2025, the Employment Rights Act 2025, and other relevant legislation.

However, legislation changes regularly, and we cannot guarantee that a document will remain current at the time you use it. It is your responsibility to check that the legal requirements applicable to your situation have not changed since the document was last updated.

If you believe a document contains an error or is out of date, please let us know at hello@docpilot.to. We take accuracy seriously and will investigate promptly.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DocPilot's liability to you in connection with the purchase or use of any document template is limited to the price you paid for that document.

DocPilot shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, special, or incidental loss arising from your use of our documents, including but not limited to loss of income, loss of business, legal costs, fines, or penalties.

Nothing in these terms limits DocPilot's liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. DocPilot Pro subscription

DocPilot Pro is a monthly subscription service (currently £19/month) that provides access to all 14 Property and Landlord templates, with updates when legislation changes.

The subscription includes a 14-day free trial. No charge is made during the trial period. You may cancel at any time during the free trial without incurring any charge.

After the free trial, your subscription renews automatically each month unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your Lemon Squeezy account dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no partial refunds are provided for unused days within a billing period.

DocPilot Pro subscribers are entitled to the most current versions of all 14 property and landlord documents as long as their subscription is active. Document updates are made available as and when legislative changes require them.

10. Governing law

These Terms of Use and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them (including non-contractual disputes) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have under the law of your country of residence.
