Do I have to give a reason?
No. The standard letter has an optional reason paragraph you can delete.
How much notice do I give?
Whatever your contract says. The statutory minimum from an employee is usually one week after a month's service, but contracts often require more.
When should I use the constructive dismissal version?
Only where your employer has fundamentally breached your contract, and ideally after advice from Acas or a solicitor. Resigning without advice can lose you rights.
