Questions
Do I need a court order to end a lodger's agreement?
Usually not, if the lodger shares your home and so has an excluded licence. You must still give the notice in the agreement and must not use or threaten violence.
How is this different from the Lodger Agreement Template?
The template is the agreement alone. This pack adds a room condition record, a notice to quit letter and a fuller Rent a Room guide.
Does Rent a Room income need to be declared?
Not if gross receipts are £7,500 or less (sole owner). Above that you complete a Self Assessment return.
Is it in the Landlord Complete Bundle?
Yes. Both the Lodger Agreement Template and this Complete Pack are in the bundle.
