Is an agreement between us legally binding?
To be binding, a financial settlement on divorce should be made into a consent order approved by the court. Letter 2 proposes instructing solicitors to draft one.
Is it for unmarried couples?
No. It is written for married couples. Unmarried couples should look at the Separation Agreement or Declaration of Trust.
